A box frame allows you to display not only photographs but small objects, all behind glass. There is a gap between the image and the glass, as in the case of the one illustrated, forming a narrow shelf.
You can buy such frames ready-made or have one made specially, to your measurements, by a picture framer.
To bond the toys permanently, use a strong all-purpose glue; for a more temporary display, use double-sided tape or a spray adhesive that allows for repositioning.
