Sweet and Spicy Coleslaw



6 cups shredded green cabbage
2 cups shredded red or purple cabbage
2 cups shredded carrots
1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions
3 fresh California white-flesh nectarines, diced into 1/4-inch cubes

3 jalapenos, diced, with seeds removed
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon dried celery seeds
1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

In a large bowl, combine cabbages, carrots, green onions, nectarines and jalapenos.
In a small bowl, stir together mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, celery seeds, salt and pepper. Pour over the cabbage mixture. Toss lightly to coat. Cover and chill for 2-4 hours. Makes 10-12 servings.
