Seared Fresh Brown Turkey Figs




4fresh California Brown Turkey figs, cut in half lengthwise
Fine granulated sugar
Olive oil
8 toasted baguette slices or cradrers
4 ounces Brie, sliced

4 slices crisp fried bacon, cut in half

Sprinkle fig halves very lightly with sugar.
Lightly coat a cast iron skillet with oil; heat to very hot. Arrange the fig halves, cutside down. in the pan and sear for about 2 minutes.
Remove from the pan and let cool.

Top toasted baguette slices with cheese and bacon. Arrange the figs, cut side up, on top.
Makes 4 servings.
